At 6:30 parents/guardians will visit their child's classroom in the correct scheduled order. A NOTE FROM MR. DELGADOI began transitioning to my new position here at Rio Linda High in spring. I have attended parent/community meetings, staff/site leadership meetings, sporting events, student recognition celebrations, student performances and graduation. With each event I am more and more inspired and impressed. We have reason to be most proud of our students and our school! I am so pleased to have served in the Rio Linda Neighborhood for nine years as Principal of Orchard School. In all, I have been in education for 15 years. I was born and raised in a small rural community in the central valley, so in many ways Rio Linda feels just like home. I balance my professional life with many fun and fulfilling interests and hobbies. I have been married to my wife Monica for 26 years, and love being a father to our three children (Anthony 22 yrs. old, Marty 20 yrs. old, and Olivia 12 yrs. old). I teach kick boxing and indoor cycling classes at 24 Hour Fitness. Our family loves to volunteer in the community. Annually we volunteer at the Festival De La Familia, the Jazz Festival, and at many church events. I look forward to working with all school and community members. Thank you for welcoming me as you have. Ms. Casady Returns As New Assistant PrincipalI am so happy to be back at Rio Linda High School. I left RLHS in 2006 to gain experience in administration, but have always dreamed of returning. As the saying goes “Once a Knight, always a Knight”. I graduated from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks in 1991 and New Mexico State University in 1995. I came to live in Rio Linda in a house built by my great-grandparents and was fortunate to be hired by the Rio Linda Elementary District. I have worked in the local schools for 15 years. My four children attended Westside Elementary and one ended up graduating from Rio Linda High School. When I moved to Rio Linda I wanted to be a part of the Rio Linda community and ensure schools were safe and maintained high expectations for all students. Therefore I joined the parent group at RLHS and the school site counsel at Westside. Four years after working and volunteering in the schools I became a counselor at Rio Linda High School where I worked for the next 7 years. My children include Mari 25 (RLHS Class of 2002), Connor 20, Sommer 19, and Patrick 16. I have one grandchild; Alyxis who is a delightful 2 year old. I was raised in Barrow and Fairbanks, Alaska. In Alaska the towns are small and everyone knows each other, somewhat like Rio Linda. Alaska gave me experience living and working with diverse cultures. The RLHS small town atmosphere along with the terrific staff, great athletic programs, and so many academic opportunities make me happy to be back. I look forward to serving the students and families in our community.
