New Wednesday Schedule
Beginning with the 2015-2016 school year, all Twin Rivers students will start school at the same time every day and will be released two hours early every Wednesday. The change to Professional Learning Time (PLT) Early Release Wednesday (formerly Late Start Wednesday) will help the district achieve its goal of increasing student academic achievement.

This summer you have an opportunity to have your senior portraits taken before school begins. On July 27th - 29th, Prestige Portraits will be at RLHS for photo sessions.

The TRUSD is offering a Summer School Program at Highlands High School. Registration dates are Tuesday, June 16th and Wednesday, June 17th. (Please see the details on the Summer School webpage).
School for the 2015-2016 academic year will begin on Thursday, August 20th. There has been a change in the Bell Schedule for next year, so please check the "Qucik Links" section at the bottom of this page to obtain copies of the schedules.

Student Leadership Forum
Two RLHS MESA students (Ashely Prasad & Rocio Rojas) participated in the 10th Annual Student Leadership Forum at the State Capitol. They joined other students from the MESA, Puente and EAOP programs for leadership training and meetings with state legislators.
Student Athletes Honored
Congratulations to our Varsity Boy's Volleyball team! They won our first outright TCC (Tri-County Conference) Championship in school history!

Music Students Compete
In May the music department took the Concert Choir, Vocal Jazz I and II, Chamber Choir, and the Symphonic Band to compete at Music In the Parks music festival in Milpitas, California.
They performed well and were each ranked with scores of Excellent!

ECMC College Planning Event
Congratulations to our scholarship winners (all RLHS seniors), distinguished guests Jack O’Connell (26th California State Superintendent of Public Instruction), representatives from ECMC, as well as our principal Ed Delgado.
The scholarship winners were: Sabino Bernal, Racheal Christie, and Amber Head.
TRUSD Student Board Members
Peer elected Student Board Members for the 2014-15 school year were presented to the Twin Rivers Unified School District Board of Trustees. By action of the Board of Trustees, Student Board Members were approved to begin their term on the Board as representatives of Twin Rivers’ students. Student Board Members were administered an oath of office. Two of the four Student Board Members will be designated to attend each regular Board meeting from October 7, 2014, through June 24, 2014.
RLHS students Caleb Druckhammer and Geneva Speakman were present at last Tuesday’s meeting.
RLHS Hosts College Fair
RLHS hosted a College Fair for nearly 600 seniors in the Twin Rivers Unified School District. The students had an opportunity to meet with representatives from public and private colleges throughout California.

Immunization Requirements for School
