After spending the past several weeks gathering input and researching options, Rio Linda will be moving forward with a virtual graduation ceremony that provides us an opportunity to honor each and every graduate in a unique way, while also ensuring the health and safety of our students and families. Rio Linda’s virtual ceremony will be available for streaming via a cable tv station to be named soon and YouTube at 7 p.m. on June 13, and will be available for viewing anytime thereafter.
Please note, this is a change from the date and time our original graduation ceremony was scheduled.
The steps we take over the next few weeks will be crucial in ensuring our virtual graduation is a success. These steps include the distribution of caps, gowns, cords, and other items tied to graduation on May 28th and 29th during senior checkout at RLHS.
Our virtual ceremony will include student and staff speakers, and it will also provide each graduate an opportunity to submit a short message and a recording of their name. RLHS will use student’s senior photos for the virtual ceremony unless it is not available. You should have already received a short email from MarchingOrder sent on May 16th with detailed instructions on how to produce these materials via the Internet.
We hope that all of our seniors and families will participate to commemorate this important moment in their educational journeys
Congratulations again to the graduating Class of 2020 - we look forward to celebrating you!
