Announcements for Thursday, January 29th

Calling all sophomores passing the Exit Exam is required for graduation. 

To help you better prepare yourself; tutoring is available from 2:45-3:45. On Mondays you can prepare for the English portion of the test in W-1.   On Tuesdays you can get help studying for the Math portion in V-6 and on Thursdays in room T3.  The better prepared you are the easier the test will be.   If you pass the exit exam this year, you will never need to take it again, and you will be that much closer to crossing the stage your senior year.

 

 

Hey, Valentine's Day is coming up! Are you interested in making a sick kid feel special by making them a Valentine's Day card? If so, you have an opportunity this Friday, January 30th from 2:30 to 3:30 in T-2 to make cards with South Asian Club for children in hospitals. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Bring your friends! Also, you can make cards anytime at home with family and friends and drop them off in T-2 by February 6th." 

 

 

Friday we will be celebrating many of our talented students at the annual Winter Sports Rally. Leading up to that will be a fun filled Spirit Week! Dress up to show your Knight Pride…

Today is Ugly Sweater Day… yeah we know it’s not Christmas, but who doesn’t love an ugly sweater?

Friday is the traditional Black and Gold Day… remember, if you are short on Rio Linda gear, there are “I Bleed Black and Gold” Hoodies for sale in the student center!

 

 

Spring Physicals will be held next Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 3:30pm in Room V-4. Bring the Athletic Packet and $10.00 dollars cash.

 

 

Students- please bring your gently used jeans to the counseling office, Ms. Caddells or Ms. Marina’s room and be a part of Teens for Jeans drive!

 

 

The floral program is selling flowers for Valentine’s Day. Send your significant other or just a friend a flower. Prices range from $4 to $30. Flowers can be purchased in D2 until Feb 10th and will be delivered Friday Feb 13th.

If you want to be successful in business, please stop by room D-6 during lunch this Thursday to find out about DECA.  Mrs. Caddell is chartering a new Career Technical Student Organization that specializes in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Sales, and Business Management. Attention boys golf team…There will be a meeting this Friday for the golf team. Please bring your paperwork with you.  We will be going over etiquette – on course and off, the rules of golf, and several other items. We will meet just outside room A2 at 2:45pm. Plan to be here a couple of hours.

The French will meet today in f-5 after school to confirm reservations for the Waterboy restaurant.  Please bring your donations.

 

 

Girls Soccer conditioning and try-outs will begin on Feb. 2nd at 3 in the stadium.  Bring running gear.  If you have any questions please see Mr. Villa.
