Announcements for Wednesday, September 17, 2014

Tutoring is available Monday thru Friday from 2:45-3:45. If no-one shows up by 3:00 the room will close. The tutoring rooms are different each day so see a tutoring schedule on our website or posted on the office windows.  Tutoring is a place to bring work and have assistance completing it. So, if you come to socialize or disrupt you will be asked to leave. 



Do you want to see the rings of Saturn with your own eyes? Come look through a telescope to see Saturn with its rings and moons, double stars, a nebula, and a galaxy.  Learn the constellations.  


Tonight there is a Telescope Viewing Event from 8:15 to 9:30 pm. on the tennis courts. 


We’ll have 2 telescopes.  Parents and families are invited, too.

Attention Seniors: A representative from University of Oregon will be on campus September 24th from 1:15-2:00 PM. Sac State will be her from 12:25-1:25 on October 3rd. and CSU Stanislaus on October 7th at 8:30 in the AVID class (there is room for a few more if interested) Please sign up in the counseling office ASAP if you are interested in meeting with them. Remember William Jessup will be here on September 17th and there is still room for this as well. We have the district college fair here on September 23rd from 11-12 too!!! This is college visit season- keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities to meet college reps! If there is a particular college you are interested in- come see Mrs. Trammell and she will contact them!



Students lunch applications are due immediately.  Please turn these into the cafeteria manager Miss Crystal during your lunch or before school. 



Attention Rio Linda Knights if you are interested in helping organize and decorate for Homecoming please sign up at your class booth today during Club Rush.



ATTENTION:  All 10th and 11th graders…..the PSAT is right around the corner!  Starting Mon. 9/22, Ms. Johnson in Counseling will be taking your money (10th graders) and handing out waivers to those 11th graders that are eligible.   We only have 150 test booklets, so 1st come, 1st served!  The very last day to register is 10/10…the test is scheduled for 10/15/2014.



The football program is looking for two students who want to be water girls or water boys for the Varsity football team.  You will need to attend all the home games and you can travel on the bus with the team to the away games.  Please see Coach Garceau in room S-10 if you can make this commitment for the rest of the football season.

At this Friday’s football game against Foothill, our staff will be recognized and celebrated by our Touchdown Club. All staff are encouraged to attend and students, please attend the game and thank our staff when you see them there. Thank you staff for all that you so for our students and school!  Tickets are 6 for adults and 4 for students and children.
